Eye on India: India Global Forum with Eran Shlomo

At the second UAE edition of India Global Forum: Partners for Global Impact, our CEO  Eran Shlomo participated in a conversation entitled – Building for India – Eye on the Prize.

He talked about the evolution of artificial intelligence and what the future holds for the industry in India. If we look back to 20 years ago, India’s role In global economics has drastically changed. Today, the world looks towards India as a sizable and profitable market that can help support their global growth. The opportunities for both consumer and enterprise minded markets are attractive to companies globally.

The increase of demand for India to work with international partners and curate products and services for domestic as well as international markets is on the rise. We had the honor and opportunity to have Eran participate in this conversation and he surely held his audience’s attention, and therefore, we’re here to share with you what he had to say:

Tidbits from Eran Shlomo’s Conversation

Eran explained how India is now experiencing multiple links of changes happening to it simultaneously. In the beginning he explained that you could see the change being driven by IT services on the tech side, but then India moved from B2C tech to more business enterprise software AI and blockchain. He continued to explain that this eventually brought about a global change on India’s front, where it became clear that India was taking on a more dominant role in the Asian hemisphere. However he said, if you combine this all together you’re left with a serious problem – a shortage of talent, because you need talent to power all this. The second thing he said you need to consider is considering the ‘go to market’ which generally takes place in Europe or the US. But now India is left to develop its own “go to market” scheme, which is relatively new. If you take all of these factors into account, you come to realize, he says, that there’s an amazing opportunity here, because India is at the core of the development of AI”.

Our Journey With India and To the Future

“We started our journey with our many friends in India 5 years ago. Our approach was simple. India is the only place in the world where manufacturing, top tech, and strong communication could co-exist. We were lucky with our assumption and we’re happy to be a part of the global leadership journey this nation started. We’d like to thank all of our investors, supporters, customers, and employees for your help in bringing this vision to life”, says Eran Shlomo.

As Eran spoke about at the India Global Forum about the gem of an opportunity India holds in the core change of AI, Eran emphasized that it is important to address the shortage of talent and how we can harness this talent properly and minimize the pressure and toll it puts on them.

“At Dataloop, we do see that there is a need for human intervention but it is likely to decline as the performance of AI models improves. However, we do not see the version of humans being cut out of the loop entirely”.

As Eran Shlomo stated in another interview, “We built Dataloop for a combined human-machine future,” While we don’t expect humans to go out of the loop, it is our job to minimize the intensive labor process into a human touch and guidance process. That’s what we’re known for.”
